UCAS Points Calculator (Tariff) — Convert your grades to points

Calculate UCAS tariff points across mixed qualifications (A levels, AS, BTEC, T Levels, IB, Scottish, Welsh, Access to HE, and Cambridge Technicals) with year-based tables and included/excluded breakdowns.

Tariff points are not the only admissions requirement. Always verify the exact qualification, grade, and subject rules on each course page.

Complete UCAS Points Calculator Guide

This calculator supports mixed qualification pathways in one place: A levels, AS levels, BTEC Nationals, T Levels, IB components, Scottish qualifications, Cambridge Technicals, Access to HE, and Welsh Baccalaureate entries in a single tariff total.

Every row is mapped from versioned UCAS tariff tables by selected year, then processed through an explainable counting pass that reports what counted, what was excluded, and why.

Use compare mode to test alternative grade sets or pathways, then export a plain-text summary, CSV breakdown, print view, or shareable URL.

Formula and Step-by-Step Example

The engine computes each row from the selected tariff table: qualification + size + grade (or Access credit mix) -> points.

Rows are then passed through counting logic to remove duplicates or lower-level overlaps where relevant, with explicit exclusion reasons shown in the breakdown.

Final total = sum of included rows only. Excluded or unresolved rows never contribute to the total.
