The K/D Ratio Calculator computes Kill-Death Ratio (KDR) and Kill-Death-Assist Ratio (KDA) from your game session or lifetime stats. Kill/Death Ratio is one of the most universal gaming performance metrics. A KDR above 1.0 means you eliminate more opponents than you are eliminated — you are contributing positively from a raw combat standpoint every match. A KDR of exactly 1.0 means you break even. Below 1.0 means opponents are winning more individual engagements against you.

What makes a good KDR varies significantly by game and player skill level. In Call of Duty, the average player sits between 0.8 and 1.2. Competitive players aiming for ranked success often target KDR above 1.5. In squad-based games like Apex Legends or Warzone, team-oriented players may carry slightly lower KDR because they prioritize objectives, revives, and positioning over aggressive individual kills. Context matters more than the raw number.

The KDA ratio — (Kills + Assists) / Deaths — is a more complete metric for team-based games. If you provide significant assists while supporting teammates, KDA captures that value where pure KDR does not. In MOBA games like League of Legends, KDA is the primary combat metric because assists are worth nearly as much as kills for support roles.

This calculator also supports lifetime stat tracking. If you played hundreds of matches across a season, tracking kills and deaths over time shows whether performance is improving, plateauing, or declining. Some players find their KDR improves when switching from aggressive solo play to coordinated squad rotations — the calculator makes that comparison concrete.

Note: a high KDR does not always mean a winning player. Players who camp, avoid combat, or leave matches early can artificially inflate KDR while contributing little to team success. Win rate alongside KDR gives a more complete picture of actual in-game impact.

Kill/Death Ratio uses a simple division formula with a special zero-deaths case.

KDR = Kills / Deaths If deaths = 0, KDR is reported as the total kill count or shown as ∞ to indicate a perfect session.

KDA Ratio KDA = (Kills + Assists) / Deaths Standard in MOBA and team-based shooter contexts.

Per-game averages Kills per game = Total Kills / Total Matches Deaths per game = Total Deaths / Total Matches Assists per game = Total Assists / Total Matches

Win rate Win Rate (%) = (Total Wins / Total Matches) × 100
